Finishing Blades

Finishing blades are designed to produce a smooth and polished finish to the concrete surface.

After the slab has firmed up, blade pitch is increased to a greater angle resulting in a smooth and polished finish.

Combination Blades

Combination blades are designed for operators who wish to use one blade for both floating and finishing applications.

During the initial stages of power trowelling the blade is set flat and is used for floating, as the slab firms up the blade pitch is increased to produce a smooth finish.

Pan Blades

Pan floats clip onto both finishing or combination blades.

Pan floats with their large surface area achieve flatter floors than traditional float blades as they are more efficient in removing imperfections, bumps and voids.

DRIVE UNITS

Drive Units provide a portable power source for a wide range of flexible shaft driven submersible pumps and heavy duty concrete vibrators.

Available in a wide range of drive options and configurations, there is a drive unit available for any application. All Flextool Drive Units have a universal quick action 60mm diameter coupling housing and use a 3-tooth, 44mm dog drive to operate a wide range of flexible shaft driven pumps and vibrators.

Flextool Super Duty Concrete Vibrators

The Flextool VP Series of Immersion Concrete Vibrators produce high frequency vibration allowing for the efficient compaction of low slump

concrete mixes. Compaction improves the strength and finish of the concrete by driving out entrapped air. The epicyclic design of the VP

series vibrator range generates high frequency vibration from a low flexshaft speed, the low speed of both the flexshaft and vibrator rotor

results in longer service life. The rotor generating the vibration is supported by a heavy duty self aligning bearing and executes a pendulum

motion. Vibration is greatest at the tip of the vibrator head.

Flextool Pumps

Flextool Pumps are highly efficient underwater units which are operated by a variety of portable drive units powered by petrol, diesel, electric and pneumatic motors. Flextool Pumps are completely self priming and extremely robust in their design. They are notably trouble free in service and maintenance, whilst the flexible shaft drive facilitates use in many situations where close coupled pumps would not be suitable.

General Purpose Pump

The standard pump has an aluminium body, housing, strainer and a 6 m flexshaft for portability and general applications.

Abrasion Resistant Pump

The cast iron body provides extended life under abrasive conditions, making it suitable for operation in gravel and sandy soil.

Chemical Resistant Pump

The cast iron body and stainless steel components provides extended life under corrosive conditions, making it suitable for operation in industrial waste and salty environments.

Anti Kink Spring

Flexshafts are available with an additional reinforcing spring that can be moved to provide support in a fixed position.

Flexshaft Length

The standard flexible shaft length is 6 metre. Lengths of 3 and 9 metre are optional. Other lengths are available to order.

Pump Features

Functional Design

The pump is robust, with materials selected for strength, abrasion and corrosion resistance. The pump spindle is

stainless steel. The body is a one piece volute with a steel outlet and stainless steel studs.

No Priming Problems

The pump head operates underwater, driven by a flexible shaft from the drive unit. Underwater operation of the pump head ensures that it is self priming and starts pumping immediately.

Solids Handling

Wide passages through the strainer, impeller and body allow the unobstructed passage of solids up to 28 mm and fluids with up to 60% solids in suspension.

High Performance

The quick-action flexshaft coupling allows separation of the pump from the drive unit in seconds, for transport and storage, making this one of the highest performance 50 mm trash pumps for one man operation. The three-tooth dog drive on the flexshaft fits all drive units.

Oil reservoir lubrication

The pump head bearings are oil lubricated to reduce maintenance.

Heavy Duty Bearings

The seals run on a hardened sleeve that eliminates replacement of the pump spindle due to seal wear.

Heavy Duty Flexible Shaft

The high tensile steel wire core gives the flexible shaft a high torque capacity. The casing has a spring steel liner with a synthetic rubber cover and steel wire braid for additional strength. External springs at each end provide additional reinforcement.

Steel Wear Plates

Toughened steel plates protect the aluminium housing and body of the general purpose pump and reduce wear from abrasive fluids.

No Suction Hose Problems

Unlike close coupled pumps that use costly suction hose that is bulky and may have problems with air leakage, the 212 pump uses lightweight, inexpensive discharge hose.

Easy Maintenance

Design of the pump head facilitates easy maintenance. Three eye nuts allow removal of the body in seconds, without special tools, to access the impeller.

Choke Resistant Impeller

The impeller has two blades to allow the free passage of solids up to 28 mm diameter and a shroud to reduce wear.
